Installation

Install the SupportFlow Capture extension from the Chrome Web Store or download it directly.

The easiest way to install. Automatic updates and one-click installation.

Open the SupportFlow Capture extension page on the Chrome Web Store.

Click the blue "Add to Chrome" button on the extension page.

Review the permissions and click "Add extension" in the popup dialog.

Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, find SupportFlow Capture, and click the pin icon to keep it visible.

Download and install manually. Useful for enterprise environments, offline installation, or when testing beta versions.

Note: Direct installation requires enabling Developer Mode in Chrome. Updates must be installed manually.

Download the latest extension package from the SupportFlow website.

Unzip the downloaded file to a folder on your computer. Remember where you save it.

Navigate to chrome://extensions in your browser.

Toggle on "Developer mode" in the top right corner of the extensions page.

Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder where you extracted the extension.

Click the puzzle icon and pin SupportFlow Capture for easy access.

The extension requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality. Here's what each permission is used for:

`activeTab`	Access the current tab to capture screenshots and detect elements
`tabs`	Get the URL and title of pages you're documenting
`storage`	Save your authentication token and preferences locally
`desktopCapture`	Record GIFs and videos of your screen
`scripting`	Inject scripts to detect and highlight UI elements

Privacy Note: Screenshots and recordings are only captured when you explicitly click to capture. No data is collected in the background.

After installation, you should see the SupportFlow Capture icon in your Chrome toolbar. Click it to open the extension popup.

Now that the extension is installed, connect it to your SupportFlow account.
